We at NCSY Canada & Torah High held our second annual “Shop for Our Cause” event on September 7, 2014. The Tamari Hall at UJA was packed with ladies lining up to check out the fabulous inventory.

We had over 1000 pairs of shoes donated by DAVIDS SHOES and Capezio. Our shoe sales more than doubled from our first event in 2013. It was a beautiful day and over 500 people turned out to the Lipa Green Building.

This event could not have happened without so many individuals in our community, from GMD Wholesale for use of their warehouse space, to United Messengers who gave their time and labour to pick up and delivery shoes from all over the city, to our vendors who participated in our sale and generously gave back a portion of their proceeds to our event, we thank Out on a Limb, Rebekah Price Jewellry, Regency Fur, Matooka, Boa, The Right Hand Gal, and LA PRO for their time and effort. Thank you to  Decadent Cookie, Grodzinski’s Bakery, Starbucks, Joicey, Tastes Like More, for donating coffee, pastries and other confections for our VIP hour. Finally, a Special thank you to our generous donors and sponsors and to our community! All proceeds from the sales went to engage even more public High School students in our educational programs.
