Programs

NCSY runs many programs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.  Here is a list of all our programs offered this year and how to get involved!

JSU

Each day, Jewish culture clubs run at various public schools in Toronto. Currently, there are JSU’s at Thornhill, Langstaff, CHAR, Mackenzie, Forest Hill, North Toronto, Earl Haig, York Mills, Northern, Lawrence Park, CHAT, Vaughan Road and Toronto Prep School.

JUMP

Want to get community service hours in a cool way while making an impact in the community? Be a part of JUMP. Get in touch with Avi Levinson at avi@ncsy.ca for more details.  JUMP is located at Westmount Collegiate.

Learn n Earn

Once a week, get paired up with a mentor and learn about any Jewish topic that interests YOU!

Impact

For those who want a deeper look in to Judaism through awesome speakers and presentations, Impact is for you!

Jewish Professional Alliance: Business

For students who are eager to get a head start in the business world – this program allows teens to meet and work with top Jewish business professionals in Toronto. Past speakers include: David Cynamon, David Spector, Harry Zarek and many other CEO’s and executives. Jewish Professional Alliance: Health

Planning on a career in medicine? This program introduces you to many Jewish health professionals including, Doctors that are on the acceptance committee for medical school and researchers that can help you secure research positions to advance your promising future. Live2Give

A community service-based program, this all-girls program has had record start and is well underway in its second year.  Weekly programs devoted to various community service projects, as well as fundraising programs created and run by students.  Contact Leib for more information at leib@ncsy.ca

Tikun

Tikun is a community service initiative run by Jewish Teens in the GTA for Jewish teens in grades 8-12. Tikun arranges numerous volunteering opportunities with charities that do humanitarian work, international development, Sick Kids, Homeless, etc. Tikun is a project of NCSY Chazak.

Torah High

 

Want to engage your mind? Free up your course load this semester? Torah High offers after school courses complete with high school credits in Jewish studies, Hebrew language, Leadership, Philosophy, and Political Science.  The courses are all ministry approved and range from “U”, “M”, and “O” credits. Torah High runs for 2.5 hours on the day you choose to attend (your choice of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday classes).  We now offer Torah High in 4 different locations across Toronto!
