THE NCSY CHANUKAH PARTY OF THE SEASON

Posted on May 27, 2017

The turnout was simply fantastic at the NCSY annual Chanukah party at the BAYT!

It was the first night of Chanukah and the room was abuzz with a total of 300 NCSYers, Torah High students, and Moms and Dads.  It was a grand way to kick off Chanukah, but not surprising that NCSY led a program in which so many opted to learn about the story of Chanukah—and the lessons that it still holds for our time. Discussions with NCSY mentors could be heard throughout the room. It was really a sight to behold and wonderful to know that so many in our community were making the Chanukah holiday a family affair with NCSY.

After the learning portion, the Menorah Lego competition began. With the clock counting down the minutes, NCSYers and their parents joined forces in coming up with the most creative menorah made out of Lego.

Delicious sushi, donuts, latkes, pizza, popcorn and drinks were served, while Chanukah music played in the background. It was a wonderful opportunity for families to spend quality time together in celebration of the first night of Chanukah.
