First Sunday Seminar of the Year

Sunday December 1st marked Torah High’s first Sunday Seminar, attended by more than 40 students. The students were divided up the into 3 different teams and completed 3 interactive and engaging activities. Activities taught different lessons and were led by Yehuda Azoulay, Meir Dick, Moshe Rose and Tanya Zbili. The students walked away from the activities understanding that all Jews are connected. everyone has an important role in our community, and how the Jewish community exemplifies the ideas of Tikkun Olam.

The students were then introduced to the organization JACS (one of the many Toronto organizations that the UJA helps) A Client from JACS talked with the students about addiction and the support offered by JACS, and truly left the students with a feeling of knowing how helpful JACS can be in someone’s life. Student participants then joined the UJA Telethon, where they contributed to the total raised for the day of close to $100,000. Specific thanks to Yoel, Esther, Yehuda, Moshe, Meir and Tanya for helping with the success of the day!
