DVR

The Daniel and Vera Rubenstein Fellowship Program (DVR), formerly known as Learn and Earn, has had a remarkable start to the year. On the first night, nearly 50 students arrived to learn one on one with mentors from the community. At this point, 90% of the participants are returnees from last year and with heavy recruitment ahead, our numbers are on the rise.

DVR is an incredible program in which a student can learn about any topic related to Judaism that interests them. The one-on-one approach allows for a personal and meaningful experience, where real learning is accomplished along with lasting, positive relationships.

“I always had a lot of questions about Judaism. DVR gave me the opportunity to discuss my questions with a young and fun mentor who never judged me or made me feel bad. Every week was interesting and fun! The program helped shape my Jewish identity and find meaning with the religion I was born into.” Jessica P. (Alumnus, 1st year university)
