It was a fabulous evening with 700 supporters and friends, who came out to NCSY Canada and Torah High’s “Celebrating the Spirit of Youth” Gala to support our mission of providing Jewish teens with the opportunity to build a strong connection to their Jewish roots.
The gala, which took place at the Paramount Eventspace in Vaughan, was attended by the top echelon of Toronto’s philanthropists along with the family and friends of the honourees: Jeff and Honey Rubenstein, Gerald and Sheryl Hartman, and the late Harold Jacobs, former president of OU, and his wife Pearl, z”l. Paul Jacobs of Toronto, the son of Harold and Pearl, together with his wife Chavi, launched the Chesed Fund in their parents’ honour to support four exceptional programs that drive social action, community involvement, and charitable activities.
Highlights included keynote speaker Charlie Harary, internationally recognized motivational speaker; comedian MODI; and the delicious short ribs of Chef Mike from Mike’s Bistro in New York.
The gala featured the video called “Generations,” which described the rationale and vision for NCSY Canada’s 2025 campaign to reach 18,000 teens in 7 years. Thank you to all our supporters and friends for standing behind our mission to ensure that future generations of Jews continue to embrace their heritage and connect to their identity as pride Jews.
