The first ever Men’s Challah Bake attracted over 65 men to the BAYT, including NCSY fathers and sons and a broad spectrum of the Jewish community. Led by Avi Deutsch, a member of the NCSY board, and Rabbi Leib Irons, NCSY Director of Education, in partnership with JInspire and the BAYT, the men discovered the joy of baking challah, but with a masculine twist of course—challah with jalapeno peppers, salami, and pastrami—with a side of scotch anyone?

Along with the camaraderie and good food, the men also learned about the symbols of the ingredients, presented by Associate Rabbi of the BAYT Rabbi Spitz, and learned about being a good husband from Jessy Ravivo, an NCSY Learn N’ Earn mentor.
